today's agenda was simple: SCHOOL, COME BACK FROM SCHOOL, SLACK, SLEEP, MUGG, SLEEP SOME MORE, EAT, MUGG -.- well at least i did mug right?? HEEHEE anyway, went around visiting blogs, and i came across cheekuen's blog(: found her post particularly interesting so i decided to put it here>> hope she doesnt mind though:D here it is:
Yes, I downloaded a twilight compre to do. What? It's fun! 1.Is the fact that Edward can’t read Bella’s thoughts more importantthan it seems? Will it serve a larger purpose? My answer: Yes. and Yes.
2. Bella faints at the smell of blood. If she were to become a vampire, how might this serve as a hindrance? How might it be an asset? Hindrance-Vampires need to drink blood to survive. If she faints at the sight of blood, it means that she would not be able to drink blood. Asset-Bella would not be blood thirsty. So she might be able to resist biting people, thus not being a monster.
3. Is Edward selfishly putting Bella in danger or is Bella being too stubborn for her own good? Is it a little bit of both? What are the threatening factors facing Bella and are there ways of avoiding them? (darn it, it's getting harder)It is a little bit of both. threatening factors: 1. The cullens are after all, vampires. The fact that her scent lures them towards blood lust is still inevitable. 2. Other vampires might not be able to get used to having a human with them when they visit the Cullens. the other vampires are still, vampires and drink blood when thirsty. Take for example, the tracker that hunted Bella down and almost killed her. (sorry forgot its name. was it James?)eh. no? The only way to avoid them, in my opinion, is to either leave Edward or become a vampire.
4. Temptation is a major theme in Twilight—more accurately, resisting one’s temptations. Discuss the subplot of Carlisle’s job as a doctor in relation to this major theme. How well does he handle temptation? What do you feel would be the most difficult part for him in his role? Why does he remain working as a doctor when the Cullens don’t seem to need his income? Carlisle handles temptation very well. (what? I had no other answer.)The most difficult part for him in his role, again in my opinion, is handling patients who are bleeding. Even Edward cannot control his blood lust once in a while with Bella, thus it must be harder for Carlisle to control his.Carlisle remains working as a doctor as he wants to save human lives. After all that he's been through, I'm sure he just wants to lead a normal, human life. He's also been on the verge of death before, and knows the terrifying feeling. (i think there's somemore, but I can't remember! note that I am doing this compre without the book.)
5. The Cullens live, act and carefor each other as a family. How much of their ability to do so is dependanton Carlisle’s rule that they live in amanner that contradicts their nature– hunting animals instead of humans? Do you think that they would be ableto maintain their bond if they weren’tall committed to his plan? OHKAY! this is hard. I'm gonna think about it before coming back here.seeya later! watching gg too.
